f.a.x. and its history

Depending on your age, you may remember the fax machine. It was a device you could use to send a document from one side of the world to the other - just like that. The system was fast and it was accurate.

That is what inspired Sven Steffensen back in 1988 to call his brand-new translation agency f.a.x. Translations b.v. Its translators were all to be Fast, Accurate and eXperienced.

36 years and a good deal of eXperience later, the motto of f.a.x. Translations remains unchanged. We're more ambitious than ever and commited to providing you with the absolute best solution for your communication needs. We're fast, so you won't lose any precious time or money, and you can focus on what you do best.

Our team

Evelyn Ratajczak

Evelyn has worked at f.a.x as a translator, reviser and project manager for German since 2011. She is a sworn translator for German.

Alexander van Klinken

Alexander is one of the three partners and has worked at f.a.x since 1996. He has a true gift for languages. Alexander is our project manager and translator at the Other Languages department and is a sworn translator for German.

Mia Uusitalo

Mia has worked at f.a.x. since 2005 and translates from Dutch and English into Finnish. She also coordinates and revises Finnish texts and is a sworn Finnish translator.

Hans oorebeek

Hans is one of the three partners and has worked at f.a.x since 1996. He focuses mainly on management, CRM and system administration. Hans can provide you with expert advice on the entire translation process.

Christian Suelmann

Christian has worked at f.a.x. since 1999 and translates from Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, German and English into Dutch.

Mariska Jansen-Aikema

Mariska is one of the three partners and has worked at f.a.x since 1996. She is our project manager at the Scandinavian languages department and translates from Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and English into Dutch. Mariska is a sworn translator for Danish, Swedish and Norwegian.

Frank Jansen

Frank has worked at f.a.x. since 2000 and is translator from English and German into Dutch. Frank is a sworn translator for the English language.

Dieneke Roelfsema

Dieneke has worked at f.a.x. since 1999 and is a project manager at our Scandinavian and Other Languages department. She is also our coordinator for interpreting services.

Gretha Hiemstra
